This winch is easy to assemble. Even with short fingers, I had no trouble reaching the bolt hole inside the square tube. The winch lifts a 120 lb trencher with no problem. Anything you lift should be strapped to the platform for safety. This equipment goes together in under 1 minute, and I would definitely buy it again for my needs.
We bought this to easily get our heavy generator into the back of our pickup truck for camping. It is much safer now with minimal lifting required. The assembly was quick and easy, and after practicing with the crank mechanism, we were ready to use it. It fits perfectly, allowing the tailgate to open and lifts high enough to clear the bed. It's very well made and sturdy. We highly recommend it!

This allowed me to unload a 260 pound generator from my 2023 Ridgeline by myself with ease. Also worked well to load it again. This would help with loading other heavy items alone as well.
Hunting by myself, putting a buck in the truck was a challenge. After wrist surgery, I knew I needed a better option. Ordered this to fit onto the back of my Ford Expedition, and it works great! When I go hunting, this goes into the truck (easier to just carry it). Assembling the 3 major parts was easy, and when I got a decent 8pt buck this year, I drove the truck close, dragged the buck over, put this onto the bumper hitch in about 3 minutes, and was on my way with the deer in minutes. In the field, it takes 3 minutes to fit the pieces together, and then you will not break a sweat with a deer. Anyone can do it. Highly recommend if you are hunting solo and have to drive in. Hope to try it on a bear in the next few years!
